Everyone is invited to visit the Pearland Town Center location at 11200 Broadway, Suite 380, Pearland, Texas, 77584, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., as Riders for the Cure will receive <strong>15% of the day’s sales</strong>. Members of Riders for the Cure will be available all day to share information about its mission and to educate the community about club efforts.</span></span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN"></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span class="size2black1"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN">Funds raised by Riders for the Cure will be donated to M. D. Anderson to help fund the largest genetic study ever conducted, which looks at inherited brain tumors and the causes and risk factors of primary adult and pediatric brain tumors known as gliomas. The worldwide study, called the GLIOGENE Project, is led by Melissa Bondy, Ph.D., professor in Epidemiology and director of the Childhood Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Center.</span></span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN"></span></span></p>

The $10,000 donation will help fund the purchase of child-friendly exercise equipment for patients in the study (such as dance mats, Nintendo Wii video game systems and stationary bicycles that integrate with video games) that can remain in patients&#8217; rooms during their isolation and raise their spirits while promoting physical activity. In this way, exercise-disguised as play time-will enrich the lives of sick children who cannot go outside or see friends.</span></span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN"></span></span></p>

D. Anderson Cancer Center. He was a neurosurgeon who succumbed to the disease that he spent his career treating. His passion for helping people and motorcycles will live on this Saturday as the M. D. Anderson Motorcycle group, Riders for the Cure, will host an escorted ride to raise money for cancer research.</span></p>

I encourage everyone to join us for this ride that will bring great people together for a distinguished cause. The funds from this year’s ride will be used to help enhance the patient experience in the Children’s Hospital here at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.</span></p>
